2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics are here!

It's never too late to start celebrating the Winter Games.

The 2010 Winter Olympics started on Friday Feb 12th in Vancouver, Canada. Since Valentine's day was HUGE, we decided to give you (and us!) a little breather before we began yet another celebration. But now the time has come to enjoy the Olympics with some competitions and games of our own! To kick it off, we've brought back the Olympic Greek, Habbolympic Trophies, Sports, and Arctic furni to the Catalog. Also be sure to check out the Posters and Flags section in the Catalog for a bunch of new flags!

To get things started on the right foot (skate? ski? snowboard?) an Opening Ceremony Party will be held in the Olympic Stadium Room today Friday 19th at 5pm PT / 8pm ET.

Which team will you join and represent?

The Olympics are a competition, right? Well what would competition be like without teams? This year we've got our own kind of teams...

Snow Shreders - brash, show-offs, kings and queens of cool and of course very tanned. (Sunlight reflecting off snow will do that, ya know!) Impressive flirting skills. Favorite sports: snowboarding and skiing.
Arctics- beautiful or studly, posh and totally diva or BMOC (Big Man on Campus). They are gorgeous and they know it! Favorite sports: figure skating and speed skating.
Olympicapitalists - Executive types, ready to seal the deal during their ski-trip. Favorite sports: alpine skiing and moguls.
Olympiholics - more interested in the celebrations and having a good time than any actual event that would mean breaking a sweat... except maybe curling. Favorite sports: Curling and opening ceremonies.
